With the objectives of developing scientific temper and inquiry based learning, 49 students of std V and VI accompanied by three teachers set off on journey to the Vishveshwarya Science and Technology Museum, Government Aquarium and Bal Bhavan on Thursday, 12th December 2019. The purpose of the trip was observation for education, non-experimental research and to provide students with experience outside their everyday activities.
The first destination of the field trip was the Vishveshwarya Science and Technology Museum.Vishveshvaraya Museum houses a treasure trove of machines and artefacts related to science and technology. Its interactive exhibits make it a great place for children to develop a love for science. There are exhibition Halls on Engines, Electricity, Fun Science, Space and Biotechnology & Electronics. Animated dinosaurs, life-size model of Wright Brothers' flyer and Steam locomotive are other attractions. The students witnessed a thrilling and knowledgeable Taramandal Show which gave them insight regarding the different constellations in the night sky and the ways to spot them.
The students then walked to Government Aquarium and observed different varieties of fish. At Bal Bhavan students enjoyed the toy train ride.
