The 71st Republic Day was celebrated at MSB Educational Institute with great patriotism and fervour. The celebration was combo of 3 important events, Republic Day, National Voters’ Day which is observed on 25th January and celebration of first anniversary of Aqa Moula (TUS) historic visit to MSB. The program began with the hoisting of the flag by the masool Shk Mufaddal bhai Shakir, followed by the National Anthem. The students of class V recited madeh, Hawra Rangwala and Ruqaiyah Gandhi of class VII took everyone through the timeline of making of the Indian Constitution with appropriate illustrations. Class VI students Ruqaiyah Khokar and Jamila Sadriwala presented MSB Constitution drafted by them outlining their rules and laws which put everyone into amazement. The highlight of the program depicting the importance of voting and being a responsible citizen was the Hindi skit performed by the students of Class VIII, with the theme ‘Vote is not for Sale’. The program was organized to make the students understand the significance of the day and to instil in them the pride of being an ‘Indian’.
The students and the staff were taken to a trip down the memory lane through a video showcasing the highlights of Aqa Moula (TUS) visit. The students left the premises with chocolates in hand and pledging to discharge their duties as responsible citizens of the country.
